Strongest: Question 2- this may have been my strongest question because my answer was well structured and organised, and I used a vast amount of media knowledge and applied it onto the question.
Weakest: Question 3- this was because I had gaps in media knowledge that was needed to be applied to this question.

Genre is important for audiences for the following reasons: through the conventions of a specific genre, they can decide whether they enjoy the genre or not and can use genre from one film as a reference to decide whether or not they will enjoy future movies from that genre or not. For example, from watching the movie 'The Fault In Our Stars' (a teenage romance), an audience can decide whether or not they would enjoy a future movie such as 'Paper Towns', which employs the same genre.
Media producers also find genre important for the following reasons: by utilising key aspects of genre that have been proven to be enjoyed by audiences, it is more likely for their media texts to become a success. As stated by Abercrombie: "media producers set out to exploit genre conventions; it makes economic sense".
