This is the opening scene is from the movie Apocalypse Now. This scene shows how to artfully use dissolve cuts to make an elegant scene. The scene first starts a fade into a seemingly peaceful scene of trees. Slowly the music begins to kick in with the sound of helicopter blades (a helicopter flies in front of the shot to further solidify this assumption) in the background and a green mist growing within the shot. The scenery then begins to change suddenly and begins to fill with explosions, this shows audiences the true chaos of war and how destructive it can be. The camera then begins to slowly pan  to the right as the smog and smoke begins to thicken, this increase in smoke helps create a very effective transition for a dissolved transition of a man, presumably apart of the war that is commencing, having flashbacks of what he had seen during battle. After this first dissolve cut , most of the scenes that follow are dissolve cuts that are layered on top of each other...

I don't believe that Media is responsible for anti-social behaviour and violence. Yes there are sometimes scenes or gratuitous violence in many forms of media, but there are regulations and limitations put in place to make sure that the media is shown to appropriate age groups if the parent, guardian or distributor of the media do not make sure that the media is given to the appropriate audience then the media cannot be held accountable. 1) Read this  Mail Online article about the effects of videogames . Click: The cinematography was very well shot and produced. Th usage of special effects like the gunshots added an effect of intensity, not only that but the actors dressing also added an effect of intensity during the actions scenes of the movie. Sound was used intelligently in the movie, it made the movie sound like a typical action movie which was very impressive to pull off Out of Mind: The acting in this movie was very convincing adding to the story-line and the emotional connection you have with the main character. The affect of the camera movement with the shots also added effects to make the video seem more emotional.
