The article talks about the what effect representation can have on an audience, the article also refers to how movies can refer to not only tv culture, but also TV reality shows, ideology, and propaganda.

2) What view of capitalist ideology is presented in the Hunger Games films?

In the hunger games films, the society in which the protagonist lives in is a heavily dominated capitalist society and economy, the world in which the hunger games takes place in resembles heavily of what Marx believed a purely capitalist country would look like. 

3) What do the Hunger Games films suggest about the power of the media to shape and influence ideological beliefs?

The hunger games suggest that the media has the ability to shape and change the ideology of the masses to blindly follow any form of authority with a false hope of security and free will.

The social elite class are given the power to distribute their dominant ideas, once the media portray these 
ideologies, they are given a sense of authority, resulting  in the dominant ideology becoming common sense

4) What does French theorist Louis Althusser suggest about ideology and consumerism?
Louis Althusser suggests that ideology and consumerism is the main focal point of society, the idea of work and the feeling of fulfillment of that work is a dominant ideology of society. 

5) Do YOU agree with the idea behind They Live - that we are unthinkingly controlled by the media which is run in the interests of the economic elite? These are the big questions of A Level Media!

I believe that a large majority of worlds population believe they are in control and that they know how the world works, when in reality they are blind and are also controlled by the media, this is mainly due to the fact that media outlets dumb down the population so the economic elite have the means to control the masses through false, or incomplete media texts.
