In comparison to Men's Health, the circulation and readership is minuscule

Oh Comely produce 4 magazines a year and distribute through a subscription service which their audiences pay for annually. 

4) What do you think the target audience demographics for Oh Comely might be? Some details are provided by the magazine (e.g. average age 27) but make an educated guess on further demographic details.


I believe that Oh Comely's target audience demographics are young, middle class, educated (A levels and above) men and women (mainly women) aged between 21-35. While Oh Comely does state that their average readership age is 27, due to the content I do believe that the main demographic for the magazine graduates and the average age of graduates are 21-23 
5) What psychographic groups might be attracted to Oh Comely?
The main psychographics would be explorers and reformers as their content tends to be very different and adventurous in comparison to other magazines

6) What social class classification would you expect most Oh Comely readers to be? Why?

I expect Oh Comely's audience social class classification to mainly middle-class ABC1 even possibly High/upper class 


7) What level of education would you expect for most Oh Comely readers? Why?

I expect Oh Comely readers to have at least finished A levels if not university.

The main pleasures I believe are offered by Oh Comely are most likely to be personal identity as readers relate to some of the ideologies present in the magazine, possibly personal relationship as
9) It has been suggested Oh Comely is a “magazine about people, their quirks and creativity rather than money and what it can buy”. How does the design and advertising content of Oh Comely support this view?

While most mainstream magazines such as Men's Health attempt to garner views through the stories and images of larger than life celebrities, Oh comely attempts to show special every day people and their achievements. Oh Comely also in comparison to Men's Health contains significantly lower advertisements and cover lines. this shows that their absolute main goal is not purely financial 

10) Why do you think Oh Comely has been able to build a loyal audience of subscribers in the eight years since it launched? Think about audience demand, rival magazines and the overall media landscape in the digital age.

Oh Comely is incredinly unique with what it represents and how it represents certain topics and ideologies, this new representation not only relates to a more younger/millenial generation but also subverts alot of expected connotations of the whole genre of the magazine and the way it communicated with an audience. The relatability along with a refreshing twist on traditional magazines are most likely the main reasons for their loyal fanbase.
